As long as we've know each other,there has been a quest for an outlet.
An outlet for our creative sides.
Both of us like what we 'see' inside of
a junk or trashed piece of wood.
We can 'see' inside, between it's exterior walls, if you will. What's inside of that 4X4 fence post or a broken piece of old furniture. For 16 years now, we have remade usable, useful or desirable items out of old, discarded wooden everything.
Take it apart and put it back together again, but our way.
Make it in something we like.
There are no boundaries for that.

HardWood Ecstasy is made of.
The two of us, collected and tore apart broken life. Broken life? Old pallets from the alley or back of a store, with broken slats. The headboard that your kids broke
jumping on the bed. The top of a china
hutch, the bottom, long ago
destroyed. Recycling is the answer. Recycling is a good way of life. Use what we already have sitting around, rework it into some thing usable. Even the smallest can of paints are retrieved for use by HardWood Ecstasy. It doesn't
take much to paint the inside
of a 5 X 6 inch box. Most all of our supplies are from recycled sources, from friends, neighbors
or sitting by someone's trash
dumpster. Wood, hardware, paints and finishes.
Pine ply-board cut into strips and glued together make this oriental influenced coffee table. Hours of cutting, gluing and sanding made this what it is.
SHADOW BOXES
We create what ever feels good to us. We use what ever we find that will fit in those
little squares that compliment the theme idea.

Hand painted, unique, one of a kind
The majority of our wood products have an oil finish on their exterior, the interior could be anything you can imagine. The bottoms have felt material so that they may be placed on any kind of surface without damaging it. The exteriors have many faces. Different kinds of wood grains, pieced together then glued, it could be the end grain of a 4X4 fence post, cedar or redwood, mixed with oak wood for contrast.

The interiors are anything you can think of. Plain, bizarre, one color or many. Dark, bright, painted and cloth lined. There are natural looks, painted designs, always something of interest Rectangular, square and even round shapes, Long, tall, small and coffin shaped. Plenty big for your 45 cal. or small enough for your favorite diamond ring.

Once in a Blue Moon, we re-make a piece to suit how we feel, leave the basics. We add or take away, to change or not, the original piece or idea.
Even if you wanted two matching pieces, they will always be different, there will be no mistaking their relation to the other, but still, not exactly the same.

Whether it be a creation of their own or an idea for improvement, maybe just an errand ran for the cause, there have been plenty of others with influence. It's been a collective of sorts. This is the way we like it. Everyone involved pitches in to work, clean shop and enjoys the creations. No-one is left out or over-looked.
Anything you see here is for sale ( If not already sold ) or a similar piece can be produced.
CUSTOM ORDERS-- Custom pieces are welcomed, a deposit is required before work is started, due to the nature of custom orders. all custom orders must be submitted with written ideas or drawings and deposit. Please note: NO two pieces will be identical even if matching pieces are desired. Pieces will be as similar as possible and made to compliment each other. Even though pieces will have same finish they may look a bit different because of these differences. Pieces can be shown upon request during construction and before completion, only if customer submitted a custom design idea. Then and ONLY then may limited changes be made. NOTE: These customer changes could affect price of item, will be discussed and noted with customer initials ( Restrictions apply to all phases of custom project.)
Notes: Finish differences are a normal occurrence because of wood density or grain differences. directions of grain, wood cuts, etc. All fore-mentioned differences could changes the look of finishes. Some photos of products have been touched up, usually the background images are blanked out etc. Occasionally a bit of photo touch up of a product is needed due to an unseeen flaw that didn't show up while shooting the photo, or lighting glare etc.
Products are all inspected and properly touched up before shipping.
